Caroline Rush
In May 2013 Caroline moved to D.C. to begin working with the USBG and the National Fund. She is very excited to expand her experience in education, as well as helping to design some new educational materials and learn more about the operation of the Botanic Garden.

Caroline was born in western Massachusetts and grew up in Southern New Hampshire. In 2012 she graduated from the University of Vermont where she received a B.S. in Environmental Studies with a focus in Landscape Ecology and Community Agriculture from the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources. During a self-designed community project in her senior year she created environmental curriculum for a local 4th grade class. She enjoyed teaching the kids about local agriculture and maple syrup and was thrilled to see them get excited about the environment.

After taking a small break from school and working in hospitality, Caroline applied for the National Garden Internship with the hopes of pursuing her interest in environmental education, especially with the HOPS program.
In her free time, Caroline loves reading, art, horseback riding, yoga, movies and farmers markets.
