About The National Fund
The National Fund, in partnership with the US Botanic Garden (USBG), promotes and inspires active botanical and environmental stewardship by providing financial support for educational programs that highlight the importance of plants to humankind.
Our goal is to support the educational outreach initiatives at USBG -- extraordinary programs and exhibits that delight, educate and inspire our visitors to become more active stewards of the plants that support life on earth. The National Fund helps coordinate over 200 public programs each year at the USBG, reaching thousands of participants.
Additionally, the National Fund administers registration fees and assists with program and tour registration, supports the USBG volunteer program, sponsors the National Garden Internship, funds Hands On Plant Science (HOPS), contributes to D.C. Teacher’s Night and so much more! The National Fund is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Washington, D.C.
