Summer Opportunities with the NFUSBG
NATIONAL GARDEN SUMMER FELLOWSHIP
The National Garden Fellowship was established to bring the National Garden to life for visitors while cultivating new talent in the field of public garden education. In this 10-week summer position, the Fellow learns how to prepare and run sixteen different hands-on plant science modules through our HOPS (Hands On Plants Science) program. The National Garden Fellow works closely with U.S. Botanic Garden staff to facilitate the running of HOPS which brings vital educational opportunities to DC's youth. The Fellow will spend the second part of the summer training and overseeing high school interns in hands-on activities for the public and summer camp groups. The candidate must be at least a rising college senior to apply for this position.

national fund for the u.s botanic garden high school summer internship
Each summer high school interns work with the National Fund and U.S. Botanic Garden staff to facilitate hands-on experiences for Garden visitors. This internship is an opportunity for high school students and recent graduates to gain experience in the world of public education and public culture. The internship is part time with significant time spent in the lush environment of the U.S. Botanic Garden.
